DESCRIPTION
Built a number of years ago, this beautiful black Hi Boy is based on a Wescott body and utilizes modern components resulting in an exciting and fast Hi Boy that is just as much fun to drive as you think. With the top down on a sunny day, and you behind the wheel of this beautiful black Hi Boy, what could be better? Lets take a closer look at what we have.
This beautifully built 1932 Hi Boy that sits before you is one of the very best examples of how well executed a professionally built car can be. The quintessential hot rod, this Hi Boy was built with quality modern hardware and a powerful drivetrain. The expertly done deep black paint coupled with spartan red interior and a bored and stroked Chevy engine helps to show off the craftsmanship at every angle.
Fiberglass Wescott doors, deck and cab comprise the body of the car, but the louvered hood is all steel. Gleaming in deep black paint that covers the entire car. It is as close to show quality as a driver can be. A new matching black convertible top was installed just last year. A beautifully done red pinstripe accents the entire length of the car and the deck lid. The deep black finish is everywhere including the frame rails. Four new tires are wrapped around American Racing mags and give the car the car a great stance. The blue-dot taillights complete the look as an era piece and a cool addition.
The spartan, functional red vinyl interior is a great contrast against the black exterior. It is plush with deep comfortable seats, matching door panels and Simpson safety harnesses. Stewart Warner gauges are housed in the engine-turned dash plate and a tachometer is installed on the steering column. The odometer reads 7,948 miles which is believed to be accurate. A welcome safety feature to any roadster, a roll bar is located in the rear of the cabin. Everything inside works. Quality is evident everywhere you look. A fantastic audio system adds your favorite music to the experience of driving the car.
Things get interesting under the hood. A bored and stroked Chevrolet engine displacing 377 cubic inches and producing over 400 horsepower powers our sleek black Hi boy. A four barrel Holley carb, headers, and more produce a level of power that matches the quality and level of this beautifully build. The gas tank was recently dropped and put through a deep cleaning to make sure the fuel supply is clean. Shifted with a GM 700R4 automatic transmission and stopped using discs on all four wheels, the car performs perfectly. A Ford 8" rear end completes the drivetrain. Coil-over shocks in the rear assists in making the ride tight yet comfortable.
Please note, there is no extra set of wheels and tires as is mentioned in the pictures, only the wheels and tires that you see on the car.
If you like vintage hot rods, you must take a good look at this beautiful, well built 1932 Hi Boy. Which is ready to hit the streets this summer for cruising at your local car show or road trip this Good luck bidding and don't let this one slip away. Who knows when you’ll find another one like it.
