DESCRIPTION

The exterior of this 1966 Ford Mustang looks a bit meaner from every angle, and so it's no surprise to see a race-ready interior. But what's really irresistible are the big investments in the fuel-injected stroker motor to give this pony some serious gallop.

This car has the mean look of a speedy pony. You see it in the purposeful details like the scoops of the hood that allow in more fresh air. The LED headlights let you see further ahead. And the competition-style 17-inch Torq Thrust wheels let you fit better brakes and tires. If you were looking for a show car, then you may want to update the finish, adjust the body panels, or add some other personal details. But the real charm in this one is that it has the look of a coupe that's ready to go. Its style is about being fast and useful. So there are even cool speedy style details, like the matte black front valance, billet tail light trim, and GT-style dual exhaust tips. It makes for a car with a purposeful appearance, and as you look at the full details, you see it has the right upgrades to use it to the fullest.

The tan interior looks good against the white exterior, and there are nice details like the newer carpeting, a smooth dash, and working dome light. But what's most appealing here is the competition-focused style. The rear seat is taken up by a comprehensive roll cage that adds safety and strength. The front has modern Corbeau seats and full racing harnesses. Plus, there's a Grant sports steering wheel, power steering, an AutoMeter auxiliary gauge trio, and a large Sport-Comp tach prominently on the dash. Plus, the Holley Sniper EFI touchscreen readout really gives you the best control of the upgraded powerhouse.

Under the hood is a clean and mean presentation. This is a 347 cubic-inch stroker V8, and we have a receipt file from the last few years, including a balanced rotating assembly. This also has AFR aluminum heads, an Edelbrock intake, and topped with the Holley electronic fuel injection system installed in 2019. There are also good supporting components, like the aluminum radiator with electric fan, upgraded pulleys, a Monte Carlo bar, fabricated valve covers, and an Optima red top battery mounted in the trunk for better weight distribution. And a nice set of headers add power while also contributing to the rumble of the X-pipe dual exhaust. It is an awesomely powerful Mustang, and so you'll love to look underneath and spot all the right fortified pieces to help you get the best performance. The three-speed automatic transmission has a Hughes torque converter that feeds a rebuilt Ford 9-inch rear with Strange Engineering internals. The front suspension has upgrades from Hotchkis, and there are subframe connectors for added stability. And a Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes kit and modern sport tires add plenty of confidence to the handling.

The full receipt file shows over $19k invested within the last five years, and that's just on the big-ticket items. So as you look it all over, it becomes apparent that this is a special build made for serious speed. Don't miss this powerful pony, call today!
