1958 Porsche Replica

This is a 1958 Porsche speedster replica that has an actual 58 Porsche 356A motor in it. The average price of an original speedster right now is $326,400! You can drive and enjoy this one! It\'s titled as a 1967 VW which is the doner car this was built on.

EXTERIOR: The fiberglass body is very authentic to the original. It\'s in excellent shape: it\'s straight, fits nice and has no damage. Beautiful silver, the heavy dose of metal flake is laid out evenly. The clear coat is polished smooth and glossy. really sparkles in the light is a very glossy finish The trim and emblems are just like the original, it would take an expert to tell it apart. Even the Porsche style wheels sparkle like new. It has a black convertible top, no side curtains. They are available on eBay. A tonneau cover is included but there are no snaps installed.

INTERIOR: The red really pops against the silver. It has a very comfortable set of bucket seats with good firm cushions. That\'s a 4-speed stick shift on the floor just like the original. I\'m 6 ft tall and fit very comfortably. It is upholstered very nicely; the carpets are really nice. It has a Porsche style steering wheel in excellent shape. It has a set of VDO gauges. Seat belts were added.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a genuine 1958 Porsche 1600 cc 356A motor. I\'m sure the motor is much more valuable than a VW! Recently tuned at Sport Specialty. The engine compartment looks like new. It has dual carbs. All the components are very clean: the distributor cap and fuel pump look new. The engine bay is clean and painted black.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk is in the front, a drunk! It\'s a very clean compartment and that\'s where you find the fuel tank and the battery. It has reproduction Porsche tags.

UNDERSIDE: It\'s Volkswagen underneath that appears to have a solid pan. It\'s been maintained as needed. Up front it has KYB gas shocks, in back is adjustable coilovers. The brake hoses look new. It a VW 4-speed trans with a Sachs clutch.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and tightened the transmission mount, repaired the turn signals, welded the tail pipes because of a rattle. It does not have a parking brake.

This is going to be a fun little speedster that\'s going to be very inexpensive and easy to maintain.
