1971 Dodge Demon 340 Stroker Hughes Engine, Mid-10 Second Car This 71 Demon is purpose-built for serious performance, powered by a Hughes Engines 340 with a 4 stroker kit. Topped with a tunnel ram intake and dual Demon 650 carbs, its a monster on the strip and a head-turner everywhere else. Backing the power is a 904 transmission with a reverse manual valve body, upgraded with extra sprag and clutchesas strong (or stronger) than a 727, while being lighter. Out back, a Ford 9 rear with Strange spool center section and Strange 34-spline axles puts the power down reliably.
