DESCRIPTION
This 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z/28 has fuel-injected V8 power, an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, a loaded interior, and T-tops. So it's already quite appealing even before you see the exceptionally low mileage and exceptional preservation that makes this slick Camaro also a distinct survivor.
The IROC-Zs are some of the most sought-after cars from its era because they had some of the meanest style around... especially in black. This even shows the right signs of being the original application that retains a nice gloss in the sunshine. Fun street machines like this usually were driven and enjoyed, and so you rarely find one like this with such low mileage and such clean originality. You love the details like the hood louvers, rear spoiler, full factory body kit, and rocker pinstripe with the attractive gray IROC-Z strobe decal. Even the special 16-inch alloys are wearing classic Goodyear Gatorbacks!
The gray interior is well coordinated as it looks like an extension of the outside's gray details. It all looks quite well preserved inside, and the comfy cloth seating is always welcomed when the T-tops are out. Bucket seats up front, a center console in-between, a tilt steering column, and a full gauge package make this a true driver's environment. So we know you'll happily add to the low odometer. It's also nice to drive when you have all the right comfort features. This includes power windows, cruise control, and the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. There are even provisions for factory air conditioning upgraded to modern R134a (it likely needs a recharge to blow cold again.)
The engine bay has a clean and well-preserved style, and on a car with so much originality thus far, this is believed to be the original powerhouse. The fuel-injected 305 cubic-inch V8 is known for plenty of power and the kind of torque that makes you first off the line. The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission is a nice pairing for powerful shifting as well as overdrive comfort. Plus, this is a solid all-around cruiser thanks to features like power steering, sway bars front & rear, four-wheel power disc brakes, and a limited-slip rear end.
A preserved coupe also means preserved paperwork. So you get the original window sticker, the owner's manual, and the original warranty card. You know this level of survivor style is exceptionally rare, and so you need to be exceptionally quick to catch this deal. Call today!!!
