DESCRIPTION
This car is one of only 15,528 convertible Firebirds manufactured in the vehicle’s first year of production, and it has been heavily customized over the last several years.
Originally Verdoro Green, the car was repainted Supra Red to liven it up. A new, electronically powered black vinyl top was installed in 2020. The car has power steering and a new Holley Sniper Electronic Fuel Injection System, which was added in 2021. It is powered by a Chevy 350 Crate Motor, 60 over with Eagle Crank, 202 Fuello Heads, and Hydraulic 5 10 Edelbrock Cam. Custom steel braided fuel and cooling lines with A/N fittings were added as well as a Billet Specialties air cleaner assembly and Air Gap Ram Intake. The clean engine compartment is complemented by a Billet aluminum serpentine accessory drive belt system by March Pulley Systems, high-flow electric fan housed within an all-aluminum radiator, PRW Roller Rockers, and Hedman Headers connecting the Flowmaster dual exhaust system with 2.5” pipes. The odometer must have flipped with a previous owner.
Other items of interest include a new Assault Racing Products Oil Pan and High-Volume Oil Pump installed in 2021. Eibach lowering springs and bushings (mid-eye 5 leaf springs) lower the car about 1” from stock. New front coil springs also lower the front of the car about 1 inch. New shocks were installed in 2018. The car has a 12 Bolt Rear End with 411 Gears and a Southwest Speed Driveshaft plus positraction and a 700R automatic transmission. A new windshield and vent windows were installed in 2010. The Firebird rides on 17" Aluminum Rims: rear tires are (275/40/17) & front tires are (225/45/17).
The interior of the car has seen several modifications, as well. An auxiliary equipment mount was installed that displays Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Voltmeter, and Clock. A Sony Bluetooth radio with Focal Access 130CA1 5.25-inch coaxial door speakers enhance the driving pleasure. Pro Car Rally Front Seats were installed to provide better lumbar support for the driver and passenger. The rear seat bench was reupholstered with age-appropriate styling. Finally, new front and rear seat belts and mounting hardware assembly kits were recently added.
