Same owner the last 20 years. Genuine Shelby with great factory colors and factory air conditioning. Listed in registry. Excellent fit and finish. The front end is completely rebuilt and detailed. Bottom of the motor is spotless, starter looks new.
EXTERIOR: Excellent fit and finish. The body is very clean and straight right down to the bottoms. No damage, no rust. Gaps are all very nice, even the fiberglass hood fits very well. It is a factory red car, repainted to show condition. Smooth, glossy finish with white reflective side stripes. Shelby received a major face lift for 1969. It's 4 inches longer then a Mustang. Has fiberglass scoped hood, fiberglass front fenders, and unique grill. Also features Lucas fog lamps. Has scoops on the rear quarters, in back the trunk and rear quarter extensions are fiberglass with a dovetail. They used tail lights from 1965 Thunderbird. Below the bumper the dual exhaust comes out a special cast aluminum exhaust tip. All of the chrome and trim on this car is bright and shiny. Windshield is crystal clear. Door jambs are really nice, it has the original trim tag in the door, the weather strips are soft. The 15 inch Shelby wheels are excellent. Less than a hundred miles on the BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Overall very nice, unabused condition. Has deluxe interior with all the Shelby features. Functional roll bar with retractable shoulder harnesses. Unique Shelby console with gauges and toggle switches. Shelby logos are on the wood shift handle, seatbelts, steering wheel and door panels. Upholstery, headliner, visors and door panels are really nice. Has fold down rear seat. The plastic trim is excellent.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very nicely detailed to factory specs. Everything has a smooth, clean finish. The engine bay, inner fenders are smooth satin black metal. Nuts and bolts are clean. All the components, brackets, hinges etc are new looking. Has correct Autolite spark plug wires and hoses. Has Shelby aluminum intake and Cobra finned valve covers. Functional functional ram air system. Has correct new wiper motor, brake booster and master cylinder.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean trunk compartment painted red. Has a gray plaid mat, a collapsible spare tire with the jack. The jamb and bottom of the trunk lid are painted real nice, soft weather strip. Also includes a new custom car cover still in the box.
UNDERSIDE: Very clean. Floors and frame rails look to be very clean original metal. The front end is completely rebuilt and detailed. Has sway bar and disc brakes. Bottom of the motor is spotless, starter looks new. Has C-6 automatic trans. In back it has new shocks and fuel tank. New, correct looking exhaust system with transverse muffler and resonators.
It goes without saying, Shelby is legendary. More then just a car, it has history and excitement. Enough that a big budget movie was recently made to tell the story. This is sure to further raise the passion for these cars. Dont wait and pay more later!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
