This may be a Chevy motor in a Ford product, but they both shared a passion for the magic 427 cubic-inch displacement. And this one has been properly upgraded with a cold air intake, CBM Motorsports fuel rails, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and the Optima battery moved to the trunk for better weight distribution. So control is the theme of the powertrain with a T5 five-speed manual transmission, a Detroit Speed front subframe featuring reinforced tubular A-arms, and a Detroit Speed four-link rear with panhard rod. And despite the look of an aggressive side-pipe custom, this one starts up with a quiet enough nature that won't get you in trouble in the neighborhood.
