DESCRIPTION

This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is a distinct custom build that also has lineage on its side. But we don't have to take out our history books for you to figure out why you love this one. After all, it's a sleek and mean drop-top with big block power, four-on-the-floor, and a growling set of side pipes. So take some time to look over this aggressive and elegant custom.

The 1967 Corvette was the final year of the C2, and this special drop-top takes that to heart by bridging the gap to the C3. After all, the extra sharp pointed nose and cowl hood are pure C3 magnetism. It's a cool style, and the inspiration might actually lie in the cars that inspired the Corvettes of this era. After all, GM's Mako Shark concept car has headlights hidden under the nose and a beautiful set of side pipes. And the details we love in the hood seem borrowed from the Mako Shark II concept. And if you really want to be clever, the ducktail spoiler, taillights, and sideways Firebird rear marker lights suggest this used some of John DeLorean's Pontiac Banshee project for inspiration, too! So there's a lot to talk about and love on this custom body. And because it's wrapped in a well-done shiny black, you're going to proudly show this unique drop top off in plenty of places.

While the exterior is quite custom, the interior retains the right stock C2 pieces. That's a smart way to do things because it makes this far more user-friendly. For example, the black folding roof looks good against the black paint, and since it's a standard Sting Ray piece, it goes down easily, fits snugly, and is easy to maintain. And you'll love opening this one up to the world because the bold red interior looks quite attractive against the mean black exterior. The door panels, dash pad, carpeting, and upholstery have a quality look that makes this look inviting. Plus, a good Corvette always is a good driver's car, and so factory pieces like the full gauge package are joined by the upgraded wood-rimmed steering wheel and a Hurst shifter.

The whole front end tilts forward so that you can put the big block V8 on display. This is a 396 cubic inch motor, and it has the right classic power machine look with the bright air grabber and ribbed Mickey Thompson valve covers. As you look closer, you'll see performance upgrades such as a four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition, and headers feeding those rumbling side pipes. And you have complete control over the full power package with the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, you've great driving features such as the front independent suspension, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As.

You know this is the kind of car that people will talk about long after you pull away. This is a midnight machine that's just too unique to resist. Call today!!!
