DESCRIPTION
GREAT OPPORTUNITY for this Barracuda "Project" - as Our brother was recently and tragically killed in an accident. We just now received permission from Probate Court to sell and are now taking offers.
!!!Don't miss this chance!!!
Forget those “dime a dozen” Mustangs and Camaros – this Barracuda’s sporty design was the first Pony Car. The first generation Barracuda A-Body Fast Backs with their iconic massive curved back window, are far more rare and interesting.
The final year of the original design was 1966 (1964-1966). Of the 3-years of the 1st Generation, the 1966 is considered the best-looking of their production, and this one is the Formula S -considered a Milestone car, built for power and agility.
In 1966, only 5,316 of the Barracuda’s rolling off the assembly line were Formula S versions (2,970 with four-speed)
OWNED BY SAME FAMILY SINCE 1974 (involved in no accidents)
Odometer reads 24,927 - but we believe this is too low, and may be due to previous work on engine by our brother (could have been overhauled in the 90's)
Finishes Interior & Exterior: all Original – perfect for sympathetic redo, or a complete overhaul with bells & whistles.
Engine is good: “Golden Commando” 273 cu.in. V8 – 4 Barrel Carburetor
Gear Shift: needs some work to get gears to shift
