DESCRIPTION

Rare, interesting, and quite striking, this 1969 Ford Torino GT convertible is that perfect cool classic cruiser. After all, a 390 V8 under the hood and an A/C interior make this sharp-looking drop-top ready to hit the road.

The '69 Torino seemed to really live up to its Italian name. It was arguably one of Ford's most attractive designs of the 1960s because it offered an elegant simplicity that had a hint of European influence. And the paint highlights this idea perfectly. The light blue is subtle, yet sophisticated. And it makes for a good background for the stylish black C-channel stripe. And the sunken front end with the bumper hugging the form is a timelessly attractive design. But you'll also notice something more here. The unique grille with a red accent stripe kicks off the sporty GT package. Plus, the Mag 500 wheels, hood pins, and hood scoop all let everyone know there is aggression within its elegance.

The beige convertible top looks great against the sky blue paint. And with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal an equally attractive light beige interior. While these were intermediate-sized in 1969, today that means plenty of space to share with family and friends. And they will all happily go for a ride because this is a well-presented total package. You have good-looking upholstery, a smooth dash, a glass back window, and newer plush carpeting. There are even upgrades like a Kenwood AM/FM stereo w/cassette and air conditioning (which will need servicing to work) to keep everyone happy. And as a true GT, this remains a driver's car - especially with upgrades like the sports steering wheel with matching leather grip and a tilt steering column.

Under the hood, the big 390 cubic-inch V8 is the correct displacement for this GT. And you can tell there have been the right investments in perseveration and maintenance to keep the whole engine bay looking sharp. The mighty motor inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet sound out of an H-pipe exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Add in a C6 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and this really proves it's a strong-running solid cruiser.

This is a powerful classic of distinction. In fact, they produced less than 2,600 Torino GT convertibles in 1969. So you have an opportunity at rarity and beauty in a wind-in-your-hair total package. Call today!!!
