This H1 is a terrific mix of style and substance. The satin green paint known as \"Gasoline\" has a mean style, but there\'s a sleekness from an application that happened only about three years ago. And the golden H1 stripes are a nice premium touch. There are also details that look cool while giving you more ability. The LED headlights do a better job of showing the way forward, and the Fuel wheels certainly have a nice premium touch. Plus, the integrated winch, tow hooks, and high air intake are ready for real truck duty. So while this could just be your grocery-getter or an attention-grabbing way to promote your business, it\'s also a true 4x4 built to take on the world. That\'s why we love the versatile truck bed. After all, the two-door means a longer bed without adding to the wheelbase. This also has handy features like bed doors, liner paint, and below-bed storage. And with an awesome payload capacity and a proper trailer hitch, it will be hard to find your hauling limit.
The interior has been fully restored within the last few years to give you a comfortable leather-lined space. You have a nice set of high-back bucket seats with fold-down armrests, power windows, power locks, cold-blowing air conditioning, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth. And while this is more luxurious than any military vehicle, you still get the same authoritative feel that comes from the full gauge package and commanding view that comes in a Humvee.
Under the hood is a unique powerplant. It\'s a 350 cubic-inch crate V8 known as the Fast Burn 385 which was based on the GM Performance ZZ4 block and came with specialized aluminum heads and was rated for (you guessed it) 385 horsepower. Most of us think about diesel power when thinking of Hummer H1, but 1995 was actually the debut year for the Chevy 350ci V8 offered from the factory. The idea was to offer something quieter than the diesel, even if it wasn\'t in the same power league. So this motor seems to offer the best of both worlds. The motor means a big block kind of displacement and torque in a lighter small block package. And the Fast Burn heads help offer top-end power that makes gas engines attractive. Topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, the upgrade still doesn\'t turn your H1 into a rocket ship, but we doubt you ever wanted the big Hummer for a sports truck. Instead, you get big torque in a better-balanced package. And torque is exactly what you want when it comes to real 4x4 duty. So is this Hummer\'s reinforced fully independent suspension that has been built to drive over any obstacle. Plus, with power steering, a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and power four-wheel disc brakes, you don\'t have to be made of granite to drive a vehicle built to bust through a concrete wall.
