DESCRIPTION
1948 Packard 2262-22820, Paint H Agate Blue Metallic, Trim BB, 288 with low miles. Vehicle purchased new in Idaho and last full service at dealership was 1969 at 9700 miles. Parked for years in garage before sold when original owner passed away. I am the third owner and this car runs very nice. I have taken my family on a couple of 1000 mile trips with no major issues. The paint is all original with a couple of touch ups over the years. It has 58 years of scuffs and scrapes but still very presentable. Mechanical notes: ethanol gas has eaten the dual diaphragm fuel pump an I have installed an electric in line and planned on rebuilding the original. The engine runs very good but on days of 90 degrees or more in town it will tend to get hot. On trips I have averaged 17 miles per gallon. It has the three speed electro-matic transmission with overdrive.
It has all options available for this model with the exception of the compass and the daylight visor. Everything works and even has the Packard bug screen for the grill. See short video at this link, https://youtu.be/pJ2YgFVk1dw
