A complete frame-off, rotisserie restoration was completed just 4 years back, giving us an old classic in ‘new’ condition. Performance and top down, a recipe for road-worthy smiles.
Built to be a fun in the sun cruiser, her restoration gives us new suspension components, a larger performance engine, new interior, and tasteful modifications. Restored in Georgia, she’s remained a peach currently residing in Canton, GA. A few items need to be addressed, but overall, we have a stunning Pony car with street-worthy components. She comes with a clean registration history as GA is reported as not requiring current titles for classic vehicles. Owner has reported that a title can be issued for out of state transactions.
Red and stunning, all potential issues with the body were addressed during her frame off restoration. Rotisserie body off frame allows for complete access to all body areas and our fine example shows quality of rebuild. Her chrome and brightwork shines most excellent and the added GT grill components stand unique. All glass is reported as in excellent condition. Tan convertible top is new and has upgraded glass rear window. Aftermarket rims complement the classic body with era style.
Black vinyl upholstery is reported as new or refurbished. Gauges perform as designed and all window operations work proper. Noted is the lack of climate function. Heater core and air conditioning system have not been installed. Radio is a retro-style modern function type with Bluetooth. Upgraded wood steering wheel complements added Grand Touring components. Slight wear is noted, but her overall interior condition is excellent.
Originally, our little peach was a 6 cyl car, now she rumbles with a 289 cid V8 performance power package. Modifications include a slight cam, electronic ignition, 4 bbl. carb, headers with dual exhaust. C-4 automatic carries the power through what is reported as stock running gear. Front disc brakes help balance the power and new bushings, ball joints and bearings are reported as part of the restoration.
A thorough and critical review of our Pony was performed by Lemon Squad. Items were identified by our very thorough Inspector. Most notably was the absence of climate control items. Paint prep was critically reviewed, and a few flaws discovered. A radiator leak was observed during the mechanical inspection and a slight noise was noted during the vehicles test drive. Overall, she’s a very nice sunny day driver.
Our fun little summertime car offers it up for cruising and sunny day enjoyment. A convertible top, beautiful red exterior, GT extras adding style and simple performance. Balanced with a stunning interior, upgraded brakes, and refurbished suspension components give us a driving experience that brings smiles.
