DESCRIPTION
Few things can be as alluring as the sight of a properly done restomod. Blending the beauty of yesteryear\'s design with the efficiency and convenience of modern technology, this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS tribute LS1 Restomod is truly one of a kind. Fully repainted in its original Madeira Maroon, complete with dual full-length white RS stripes, this 2nd Gen features an a subtle front lip spoiler, and a more obvious rear deck spoiler and cowl hood. Though it may not be a true Transformer, its polished American Racing Torq Thrust II rims wrapped in modern rubber suggest there is more to this Camaro than meets the eye.
Inside, we find a nicely restored black vinyl interior. An aftermarket center console, complete with dual cupholders separates a pair of bucket seats. A three-spoke power-assisted wheel sits in front of a trick-looking Dakota Digital gauge cluster. Vintage Air HVAC controls and vents provide both heat and air conditioning, while a retro-style AM/FM/Aux/Cassette head unit offers far more soundtrack options than the unit it replaces, making choosing the perfect soundtrack for your road trip that much easier.
Under that swoopy hood, we find an aluminum 5.7-liter LS1 V-8 engine. Sporting body-color valve covers on top of lightweight aluminum 853 heads, a polished intake manifold, custom camshaft, and an aluminum radiator complete with an electric fan, this small block is capable of producing yesteryear\'s big block levels of power. Those ponies are routed through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission before being sent out to the ten-bolt rear before reaching those stellar 18-inch rear wheels.
