DESCRIPTION

Distinction and opulence are a given with this 1991 Toyota Century VG40. But while you rarely see these ultra-luxury RHD sedans in the USA, the price, features, and smooth V8 power this delivers may also make this your practical choice.

Those of you who love Japanese classics already know the Toyota Century, but for everyone else, here\'s why the car is so important: it\'s timeless elegance. The design first appeared in 1967 and it evolved for decades rather than being replaced. So it holds an honored place similar to the Porsche 911 and original Range Rover. This VG40 model represents part of the final evolution, and so you\'re going to see later technology but still done with a touch of old-school flair. It\'s in the squared-off stylizing, exclusive golden badging, and chrome bumpers that hug the form. Even the Illusion Grey Pearl paint has the right conservative style with an opulent glow. And we even love the little distinct details, like the fender-mounted side mirrors and turbine-style wheels. And while there\'s a marker on the front bumper to help park this large sedan, we bet you\'re also just thinking about hanging a diplomatic flag from there because so many of these sedans were used by ambassadors.

The interior is pure opulence. After all, this could have been a Lexus except that just wouldn\'t feel right for a car that is so intertwined with Toyota\'s history. So you have supple leather upholstery, plush carpeting, and tasteful wood trim. But as a true Japanese car, you also have some techno-wizardry with the attractive full digital gauge panel. You may see a little wear from age and use, but overall, you can tell this has spent its life thus far as a respected luxury car. It\'s loaded with all the best features like power seats, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, a rear defogger, a tilt/telescoping steering column, and provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) And since the stock Japanese radio won\'t work in the USA, the stereo is now an AM/FM infotainment touchscreen unit with Bluetooth and a subwoofer in the trunk. And since this is the Japanese equivalent of a Lincoln Town Car or a Mercedes S-Class, there is impressive room in the rear. In fact, you can almost use this like a limo with features like rear curtains and power adjustments to the rear bench.

Under the hood is a special motor. This 4.0-liter V8 is from Toyota\'s V-series, which was basically reserved for the long-standing first-gen Century line. This is the final evolution of the series, and that meant nice updates like the largest displacement and fuel injection. The reason this is reserved for the top Toyota is because it was made to be smooth, swift, and quiet. It works with the four-speed automatic transmission, to deliver quite a comfy overdrive cruiser. Plus, with power steering, cruise control, and four-wheel power disc brakes, this feels like it could even be a practical choice for someone who wants the most comfortable car around for a value price.

This is pure luxury in one of the most distinct cruiser packages around. So at a price like this, we know this is a deal that will be moving quickly. Call today!!!
