DESCRIPTION

This 1971 Jeep CJ5 has a cool style, great stance, and proper 4x4 equipment. Plus, the Dauntless V6 under the hood is one of the most versatile motors of our time.

This CJ makes a good first impression. The khaki tan paint is a fresher application that has a good gloss. But it's nothing too fancy that would take away from the rugged explorer nature that this color is associated with. This combines with the blackout package of the roll bar, headlight bezels, side mirrors, and 15-inch wheels. Plus the tubular steel front bumper is a stout piece that really upgrades the attitude. And the rear tow bar w/hitch is bolted to the frame for a robust look that is also quite useful.

This one loves to be open to the world, and so it has the right features to do it properly. This starts with liner paint for the whole inner tub. The front bucket seats keep the classic low-back look, but they are done with a fresher durable vinyl, nice lower bolstering, and seatbelts. Plus, the classic Jeep single gauge pack is supplemented by oil pressure, power, and temp readouts that real drivers will find absolutely handy.

Few people remember that the Buick V6 was available in the CJ5 for a few years. This Dauntless 225 cubic-inch motor is extremely desirable not only for parts availability but also for robustness. This motor was so good GM bought it back and used it for decades, including for the turbo Grand National. You're not going to go drag racing in this stock-style setup, but it is a healthy motor that loves to run. And the three-speed manual transmission puts you in firm control of all the action. Also, true to a Jeep, the two-speed 4x4 transfer case combines with the short wheelbase and good ground clearance to really let you get back to nature. You even have upgraded shocks and Falken Wildpeak tires to help you go further.

It's amazing you can get a cool Jeep with this much character all of this for such a value price. But a deal this nice doesn't wait for long, call today!
