DESCRIPTION
Our owner took delivery of the Nova 10 years ago. Its never been out in the rain and is covered and cared for constantly. Although it is largely in the condition that you see here, there have been a couple of important upgrades and repairs that have taken place during the current owners care .
This beautiful yellow 1966 Chevy Nova has undergone a complete frame-off rotisserie style restoration. Utah is where the expert professional restoration, paint and upgrads took place over 10 years ago. Our owner bought the yellow Chevy II and it now resides on the east coast. A quick look at the photos of the Nova will testify to the condition of this vintage beauty. This car is going to make some new owner very happy.
The dazzling finish of this laser-straight '66 Chevy II is hard to miss with gleaming paint, brilliant chrome trim and stylish American Racing wheels. The car was recently taken to an expert body shop where all of the body seams, gaps and panel fit were adjusted. The car is completely straight and the fitment is correct all around. Those great looking tires have only 1000 miles of use, with lots of life left. All of the lustrous, chrome and brightwork is original and in great condition save for the rear bumper which has been replaced. The professional restoration included a refresh of the trunk with the factory speckled paint, and a clean up on the underside of the car.
A great looking, comfortable interior awaits driver and passengers in the Chevy II. Believed to be original, the seats have been recovered in a plush, durable gray cloth that contrasts the black dash, door panels and carpeting well. An aftermarket Tachometer, banjo-type steering wheel as well as a trio of gauges have been installed in the interior. The heater vents have been blocked off but a fresh air vent remains operable.
During the restoration process, a professionally built Chevy crate motor displacing 383 cubic inches was installed in the Nova. This modified engine includes Edlebrock fuel injection, a Crane cam, MSD electronic ignition, headers and Flowmaster mufflers. The transmission is a GM Turbo Hydramatic 350 with a shift kit controlled by the Hurst shifter. The car runs very strong and performs wonderfully. With discs up front and drums in the rear, the braking system stops the Nova very effectively. The car's ride is tight. Ball joints, tie rods and a new power steering rack have been installed. Stainless steel hoses have been used wherever possible. The odometer reading of 78,106 is believed to be accurate. Everything works inside. Even the aluminum threshold strips with the "Body By Fisher" are straight, shiny and as clean as the rest of the car.
As disclosed in the Inspectors report, the car has an antique registration in Rhode Island but the car has no title. The owner states that the registration serves as the title and does not expect any problems getting the car registered in any state.
A vintage 1966 Chevy II that has undergone a professionally done, frame-off restoration, our yellow Chevy is completely done in and out. Can you see it in your driveway? Good luck bidding!
