Exterior
If you\'re going to own a stallion, you can\'t go wrong with a Black one and the two stage factory coverage here looks great. Up front, it\'s those round fog lights that differentiates this snake from your average GT and when you see that in your rear view mirror, move right! The floating Mustang emblem in the grille is a pretty cool trick, while subtle heat extractor vents on the hood are nice functional aesthetic elements. Out back, a rear wing continues to hint at performance and dual exhaust puts an exclamation point on it. The 17-inch Cobra specific wheels enjoy the presence of ZR rated tires with a date code of late 2024 and have a staggered width profile for a muscular stance. Imperfections include edge chips, scratch on the roof, minor rock chips, inclusions on the side, scuffs on the rocker panel at entry point, and some underpaint on the door edge.
Interior
Molded black plastic with perforated inserts make up the clean door panels with flowing lines and circular edges. Up front, a pair of robust leather bucket seats mix grand touring with track car sportiness and are also in nice condition with some minor creasing on the driver\'s side. In back, it has us wondering if anyone\'s ever sat back there and you know what we mean! Cobra is embossed on the air bag center of the steering wheel which fronts white faced gauges with orange needles and the clean factory design continues to the center stack where you\'ll find the AM/FM/Cassette radio with CD under basic dials of the A/C panel. Ford\'s curved shifter is between the seats in a deep cove surrounded by textured plastic and wearing a black leather boot and it\'s all in clean condition. At our feet is black carpet, over our head is a charcoal headliner, and in the trunk is nothing but clean, gray panels.
Drivetrain
The snake from the fenders makes its way to the plenum on the 5.0 liter V8, rated at 240 horsepower and blessed with GT 40 heads and Crane roller rockers. It\'s backed by a T5 5-speed manual transmission rowing gears to the Ford 8.8\" rear and a 3.08 ratio with TracLoc. All fluids are fresh according to our consignor.
Undercarriage
The addition of FlowMaster mufflers grace the dual exhaust on this clean underside. We find coil springs front and rear along with power disc brakes at all four wheels. No complaints down here!
Drive-Ability
Well, we have one small complaint, actually, as we\'re hearing a clunk in the front when backing up and braking lightly. That doesn\'t stop us from doing a quick lap to test functionality on this pampered pony and like the thoroughbred it is, it delivers good power, great handling, and more fun than you can shake a stick at! All functional items operate as they should and it\'s time to put this snake on display! Performance Mustangs have always been a thing and Ford\'s designated divisions are still pumping out street kings. This one was the work of SVT and is #301 of 5009 Cobras built in 1994.
