Believed to have 24,510 actual miles. Obviously I can't prove it but I certainly believe it. It is a sweetheart! The fit, finish and functions are exceptional.
EXTERIOR: The body is exceptionally nice. First impression is a great one, this car looks good! The body is laser beam straight, all the panels fit perfectly square and flush. The doors open and close like a new car. It is smooth even along the bottoms. Rare and beautiful factory color- Tripoli Turquoise. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished like glass. It has a painted on pinstripe and the lowers are painted black. The car presents itself like a show car but there are some touch ups and nicks if you start looking closely. The chrome bumpers, handles, mirror, vent window frames are excellent. The stainless trim is all excellent. The windshield has been replaced. The rest of the glass is clear, windows fit nice. The vinyl top is excellent. The door jambs are very clean, weather strips are new. It is dressed up with a set of new 15 inch Cragar wheels and BFGoodrich tires.
INTERIOR: It is in excellent condition. The upholstery is like new and the seats still feel nice and firm. The door panels, armrests and window cranks look mint. Overhead the visors, headliner and pillars are mint. The dash pad is excellent, the instrument panel in is not broken, cut or beat up. The original steering wheel is not cracked or worn. The light works in the glove box and the owner's manual is there.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching 327-275 hp. The entire compartment is very clean, tidy and bone stock like it just left the factory. It features the four barrel 327 motor, power steering and power brakes. The manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner assembly are original. It even has the heat shields around the spark plugs and heat riser tube to the air cleaner. The components, pulleys brackets are clean and proper. The squirters are hooked up, it has hood insulation, the cowl has it's plastic grills and weatherstrip, it has the splash shields over the suspension. It still has original spring clamp battery cables. The shroud, fan and hoses are clean, has reproduction clamps.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is very tidy and clean looking. The spatter paint has been touched up. The mat looks new. It does have a bias ply tire for a spare that's never been used. The rally wheel new and jack assembly is clean. Bottom of the trunk lid is nice, has the decals. The weatherstrip is excellent, the jambs have clean factory seams.
UNDERSIDE: The front end looks like it has been completely rebuilt, I see a bunch of new components and hardware. The rear suspension also has new bushings in the control arms and new shocks. It has a new disc brake conversion in front. New brake lines, hoses and emergency brake cables. New dual exhaust system with glass pack mufflers and turn down tips in back. It also has a new fuel system including the tank, straps and sending unit. The bottom of the motor is spotless, starter and fuel pump look new. It has it's vin number matching powerglide automatic transmission. It looks very clean, new flywheel cover and kick down solenoid. Original rear end with 3.08 posi gears, dated to the car. The best part of under this car is the rust free metal. The original floors, braces, inner rockers lower quarters are dry as a chalkboard.
This Malibu is exceptionally clean throughout. Very attractive looking. I would feel confident driving it anywhere!
