For consignment, a 1965 Ford F100 pickup truck showing 3,451 miles, but the true miles are unknown due to a title exemption and faulty odometer. New brakes, new battery, new tie rods on a previously restored \'65 in the right color and desirable short bed configuration!
Exterior
Two stage Raven Black paint covers the truck enhanced by a ribbon trim piece that runs the shoulder line beginning with a point on the fender and widening to form a spear shaped detail all the way across the bed. 15-inch chrome wheels provide a sporty contrast and are wrapped in staggered size tires for a beefier stance. It\'s the 60\'s so there\'s still plenty of polished metal on the truck including the eggcrate grille, straight bumpers front and rear, trim that\'s found on the tail lights, windows, emblems, and gas cap. A fixed and tinted rear window overlooks the clean bed that has rhino coating and the embossed Ford on the tailgate is not called out by color but rather blends in glossy black, while flashes of red are provided by the epic emblems. Imperfections include edge chips and various other chips, a scratch on the character line in a rear section, a notable scuff and ding on the back bumper, chips and scratches on the inside tailgate, and a few random scratches.
Interior
The glossy black paint party continues on the inside displayed by the inner doors with reflective hardware and an added speaker. The bench seat is covered in black grain vinyl and presents nicely and the steering wheel holds true to the palette. Up front, an ivory colored instrument panel holds a single gauge, the speedometer, itself embedded with five other bits of information. For good measure, a Sunpro triple pack has been added below along with an A/C unit. Tunes come to you compliments of a JVC AM/FM/CD player while shifts are provided by the floor mounted Hurst shifter with polished shaft and white ball handle, all over low pile black carpet and under a vinyl headliner that spills onto the rear wall.
Drivetrain
Under the hood is a clean 390ci V8 with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, mated to a Toploader 4-speed manual transmission routing power to the Ford 9\" rear. The truck is equipped with power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning.
Undercarriage
She\'s purty underneath too with a spattering of some typical surface rust but otherwise clean. Dual exhaust runs through FlowMaster mufflers and then exit through chrome tips that lean towards the ground. New brakes are found in the front power disc and power drums while suspension entails radius arms and coil springs up front and leaf springs in the rear.
Drive-Ability
This truck was born with a 1-barrel 240ci inline 6 cylinder, so naturally, you\'ll experience gains in horsepower and acceleration with the fuel fed 390 and its 4-barrel! And we did as this truck runs well, tracks straight, and feels right! Of course, braking is as good as it gets and all functions on board operate as they should though our consignor states \"odometer and speedometer are not fully functioning\". While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
