Top of the line Impala, this Caprice brings options and clean lines along with big block power.

Reported to have just 58,459 original miles and newer paint, this loaded Caprice brings it in style and class. Clean lines, very good condition and loaded with era extra’s, our sanitary Chevy resides in Vineland, NJ and has a clean, unencumbered title in the Owner’s name.

Ivory white, she shows nice and just simply very clean, however some questions were raised during her inspection. The chrome and brightwork show original and nice, but some patina and dings are reported. Glass is reported to be in very good condition. Undercarriage cosmetics including surface oxidation were questioned, but typical of an older car. Rally rims set the clean look of our executive car.

Black vinyl accented with cloth inserts; her interior shows extremely nice. Only slight wear is noted on the driver’s seat and door panel. All accessories, window operation (factory electric) and gauges operate proper. Noted is the replacement of the factory air conditioning with a modern Vintage Air system. And added engine management gauges help monitor its performance.

Originally a 396 car, she is now powered by a 70’s era big block 402 cid V8 motor. She is reported to run excellent. Backing the big power is a GM Turbo-350 3 speed automatic transmission. All running gear is stock and original, including the front disc brakes. The cooling system has been upgraded with an aluminum radiator. While the inspection did not allow for a test drive, the Owner reports that she performs most excellent.

The thorough review was performed by the objective inspector from Lemon Squad. Said inspector was a bit critical of the body condition during his cosmetic review. Areas of suspected surface rust were noted at various locations and the undercarriage needs detailing. Tire condition was noted as very challenged and clearly in need of replacement. Body seals appear to be original and in need of replacement.

The Caprice is the highest option and most luxurious style in the Impala car line and became its own model in 1965, sharing many components found in the SS version of the full-sized Chevy line. Their popularity has skyrocketed right along with muscle car mania. A balance of luxury and ‘motor-ous’ power, large cruisers do not disappoint, bringing a unique measure to the cruising scene.
