1934 Chevrolet 3 Window Coupe

The fundamental nature of hot rodding has always been a reworking of old parts into something newer and faster. The easiest efforts of the pioneers who created the automobile strongly resemble hot rodding, because they didn\'t quite fit the mold. The great thing about the evolution of hot rodding is: over the past 30 years a vast array of excellent products have continually streamed onto the market. And presently, anyone with a checkbook and an affinity for going way too fast and looking way too good can build anything from state-of-the-art avant-garde to old school cool.

For consignment, a no worries, no wrenching on old parts, modern hot rod. With an Outlaw body, original 33 frame, some custom suspension and new Weld wheels this car is meant to show, go, and cruise. The perfect hot rod look along with fire engine red paint on a well sculpted and lightly chrome trimmed fiberglass body, it\'s all packaged up and ready for a new owner.

The 1934 Chevrolet coupe is already a gorgeous design, and the builder of this car took that beauty a step further with shaved bumpers, custom teardrop taillights, small billet style mirrors, and snazzy chrome headlights hanging off of either front fender. An Outlaw Performance fiberglass body is bathed in a miles deep application of fire engine red paint and has almost no flaws. A twin hinged hood sits atop side panels that have been louvered for not only engine cooling but for looking cool. All this sits behind a bright red horse collar style grille shell that is filled with thin stainless ribbing. Running boards float between the bulbous front and rear fenders and do so with style. A shout out to the well finished truck which is power actuated and is finished in creamy tan leather and surrounded by plush tan carpeting. 15\" Weld Draglite wheels adorn all 4 corners and are wrapped in like new fat and skinny rubber. Well Done!

A press of the Dakota Digital popper button on the remote and the door swings open inviting us into a very modern appearing creamy tan hued interior. Smooth leather in tan covers the doors and is broken up by vertical tuck and roll inserts down low and a red embroidered bowtie. A stylish padded armrest has been installed, chrome toggles for the power windows, also by Dakota Digital, are down low and an aluminum door handle floats above. A wood rimmed steering wheel sits on top of a polished Flaming River tilt steering column with an AutoMeter tachometer strapped atop fronts a body matching red dash. This dash holds an array of AutoMeter white face gauges that monitor all vital functions within a polished aluminum bezel and down low in an aluminum block are a trio of rocker switches along with the billet headlight knob. A creamy tan colored leather bench from Glide Engineering provides comfortable seating and is finished in more tan leather with tuck and roll inserts and another red embroidered bowtie. Desert tan carpet floods the floors and is in splendid shape thanks in part to the color matched floor mat. The only disruption in this flawless carpet is a long armed chrome shifter growing from the center, just in front of the seats. All wrapped up and ready for comfort here!

Tilting the hood to one side we are reminded of the definition of bling. A Chevrolet 327ci V8 engine fills the space between the hood sides and is dressed out in various forms of polished aluminum, stainless and chrome. A smoothed firewall with miles deep paint adds to all this shine and makes it appear to go on for miles. This mill is topped with a 4bbl intake manifold and carburetor to feed it the necessary fossils. A TH350 3-speed automatic sends power back to the Ford 9\" rear axle fitted with 3.89 gears. All buttoned up and shiny like a diamond here!

A red painted factory 33 frame provides the basis for everything down here, and is finished in red along with the suspension, underside of the running boards and rear axle. All else is strong, black and clean as a whistle. A Pete & Jakes 32 front end with transverse leaf springs is on the front while bringing up the rear is a Posies leaf spring arrangement. Power disc brakes are on front and power drums are on the rear. A dual exhaust system with heat wrapped piping sent spent gasses through Flowmaster mufflers before exiting in front of each rear wheel with bell style chrome tips.

A pop of the door and a twist of the key and I\'m in street rod heaven. The V8 has a great rumble but not so much as to drown out my favorite tunes that my partner in crime has taken to singing when no radio is present. My test drive was on a hot and humid Pennsylvania day but even without AC I still looked and felt cool behind the wheel. Taking a tour around the often imitated but never duplicated Classic Auto Mall test track my ears had a perfect mixture of ex
