Distinct, intimidating, and genuinely rugged, this diesel-powered 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 pickup is the ideal 4x4 to let you make your own path through this world.
This one has a very cool style that will get recognized on and off-road. After all, we were offered the Defender 90 for a few years in the USA, but we never got this cool pickup truck style. So you're likely to be the only one to have this style that gives you the handy open bed. And just to make sure everyone pays attention to this distinction it's finished in a bold Masai Red. There's a good gloss to this one that shows off how clean and straight the body panels are. It also makes for a nice contrast to show off the rugged features, like the steel bumpers, fender flares, side steps, diamond plate fender tops, and the deep water snorkel. So you're looking at a unique pickup with style and substance.
The Defender 90 might have a timeless appeal, but it has been one of the most recent chapters in Land Rover's globetrotting book. So you get the traditional robustness with some of the best upgrades. In fact, the interior looks new. The supple leather on the well-bolstered bucket seats looks great. And there's a contrast stitching that's repeated on the steering wheel, door panels, and dash pad. So this really has a touch of Range Rover premium. The driver's seat is a command position, and the speedometer in kilometers reminds you this is a distinct individual import (it's currently unknown if the odometer represents the actual mileage.) There are plenty of desirable features, like air conditioning, plush carpeting, a sliding rear window, a cup holder center console, and a modern AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth.
The big reason to import a Defender is under the hood. We all know diesel provides the best torque to get you through Mother Nature, and we were never offered them in the USA. So it's great to see a 2.5-liter fuel-injected motor under the hood. This powerplant has earned a tough-as-nails reputation from the Scottish Highlands to Gibraltar, and because this has been a long-standing British motor, the parts are also widely available. The five-speed manual transmission is a smooth shifter that gives you full control over the diesel power. Plus, the high ground clearance, the two-speed 4x4 transfer case, and Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires assure that you can keep going even when the trail ends. But there's more to this Defender. The power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes remind you that go-anywhere also means having everyday appeal.
The Defender platform is part of one of the grandest traditions in 4x4s. That means this robust diesel Land Rover was built with the skill to remain tough, and there's plenty of aftermarket companies who easily let you make it even tougher. So you get to look stylishly different AND have added ability. And for the right select few, this distinct and capable machine is exactly what we're looking for. Call today!!!
