DESCRIPTION

This 1989 Chevrolet Blazer K5 Silverado is a loaded 4x4 that has spent over three decades under the care of the same family. So while you'll love the fuel-injected V8, A/C interior, 4x4 prowess, and all the other features of a K5, there's also the underlying value of a SUV that has been treated like the member of the family.

This Blazer had been under the care of its original family from brand new right up until this past summer. That's a full generation of ownership, and so that makes for a respected feeling and a great story to tell. We also can understand why you'd hold on to one like this. It was one of the final years for this stout/boxy style that makes for an attractive SUV. And of course, it's the last generation for the removable rear hardtop. This is a premium Silverado trim, and that means extra trim to go with the bright chrome bumpers. And there are some nice brightwork pieces that add to both the usefulness and beauty, like the luggage rack and full running boards. This is an original Summit White vehicle. It was given a respray six years ago to make sure that the timelessly attractive finish retains a nice shine. And the color-matched hardtop is a nice detail to go with the premium presentation.

The gray interior has a tasteful look, and the condition reminds you how much this has been a well-respected classic. It's loaded with all the best features, including power windows, power locks, cruise control, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. And the electric rear window folds down so you have a wide tailgate for sporting events. This is built to be long-haul comfortable for the driver, and so you have a high-back bucket seat, center console, a tilt steering column, and a wraparound gauge panel. The rear seats have adult-sized legroom, and there's plenty of room for cargo behind the rear seat. Plus, the proper tow hitch means you can take the boat or camper with you.

Under the hood is Chevy's stout 5.7-liter V8. It has a highly stock and well-preserved presentation. That's a good thing, because this later generation also comes with fuel injection. The four-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly all the way into overdrive. There's also power steering and power brakes with front discs. And the two-speed 4x4 transfer case with auto locking hubs means this one knows how to keep going when the pavement ends. The optional front quad shock package makes this a better handler, and the brakes were serviced only 6k miles ago. So this classic remains a good driver.

Because this one has been in the same family up until the summer 2020, there's also a bunch of great paperwork that comes with the sale. It includes the original window sticker, bill of sale, owner's manual packet, and maintenance records. So when you want a full-size SUV that's respected, capable, and premium, you know to look no further. Call today!!!
