Exterior Color Gypsy Red-Shoreline
Interior Color Red And White

This Nomad has been frame off restored to factory condition. Loaded with factory options including air conditioning!
I sold this car in the year 2000. We just acquired it back from that same person. It had 39,441 miles and now has 40,147. That's only 706 miles! He took exceptional care of the car. It was returned to us just as nice looking as when he bought it and it is running beautifully.
It had a no expense spared restoration by Sun Valley Restorations in Arizona. The shop owner said it was a mint body to start with and he went all out to show what his shop was capable of. Very detailed restoration documentation is included. The fact the restoration was done over 30 years ago and still looks incredible is a true testament to the cars integrity.

EXTERIOR: Gypsy red and shoreline beige are the signature colors of the 55 Nomad, it's classic. Do you know what's amazing? The exterior of this car looks pristine and it was painted over 30 years ago! The body is laser straight, I mean there is not a ripple. I don't see any cracking, bubbling or defects whatsoever. Everything fits real nice and square. The paint is polished out like a mirror, better than it left the factory. Every piece of exterior chrome and stainless was restored or replaced at the time of restoration. The grill is still held in with it's original rivets. Glass is all crystal clear. The door jambs, seals, gaskets are all excellent. Tailgate works fine. Has original style antenna. Just replaced new Firestone white wall tires. There are also a bunch of accessories decorating this Nomad. Bumper guards, grill gaurd, door edge gaurds, fender gaurds and much more.

INTERIOR: Completely restored to factory condition. From the correct short loop carpet to the white perforated headliner with chrome ribs and everything in between, it was all redone. Cushions were replaced then correct upholstery was installed with original waffle pattern. Matching side panels were also replaced. The rear seat folds flat and the vinyl deck surface was replaced. In the receipts it mentions all interior chrome was redone. The dash area is beautiful, the paint is as slick as the exterior. All the controls, instruments, knobs were restored. The chrome vents are unique to a/c, so that is something you never see. Steering wheel is beautiful. Has working wonderbar radio. Even inside the glovebox looks new, the light works and there is an extra set of keys. Really, inside this car is great. Under the dash is clean, has firewall insulation, kick panels were replaced and the vents were painted, interior lights work etc. Everything inside fits properly too. It also has reproduction floormats and accessory heal pad on the gas pedal.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood was restored to factory specs. I do not see a single altered or aftermarket item. That factory a/c system takes up a good portion of the motor compartment. It is complete but would need to be serviced if you actually plan on using it. The motor is a correct # match 1955 265 V-8 with the power pac which includes different heads and a four-barrel carb. It also has optional electric wipers, power steering, power brakes and oil filter. Every component was restored, rebuilt at time of restoration. The motor purrs.

UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the chassis. The floors, braces, inner rockers all appear to be rust free original metal. All the seams are clean. It was duplicated to factory specs by using red oxide primer on the floors and applying a band of undercoat along each side and towards the rear. The chassis was completely rebuilt and restored to factory specs. The suspension, steering and brakes, were all rebuilt. The hardware, lines, hoses, e-brake cables, nuts and bolts were all restored or replaced with original equipment. Has correct dual exhaust system. Gas tank was restored. Bottom of the motor is clean. The original 1955 Powerglide transmission was rebuilt in 2013. Then the body was reunited to the chassis with new body bushings. Underneath is a very respectable, clean and proper.

The options, condition and most desirable colors make this the ultimate original 55 Nomad. Also included is a complete collection of manuals, shop books and literature. This was also a calendar car, a copy will go with the car. Trust me, this is the right car!
