DESCRIPTION

1987 Westfalia Vanagon GL full camper with 194,000 miles, iconic fuel-efficient campers. Engine runs great, passed Smog test April 4, 2023, and has new registration. I bought her from an engineer that kept her in tiptop shape back in February 1999, and I have taken many wonderful trips in the western states, including Alaska multiple times. Has been well-cared for and undergone regular inspections and maintenance. Most of the major work was done by Auto-Meister in Manhattan Beach, who specializes in Vanagons and other VWs (I will provide the receipts). Some of the work included rebuilding the transmission, new clutch, and pressure plate. The engine top end (cylinder heads, pistons and cylinders) was replaced 7K miles ago. The master and clutch slave cylinders were also replaced and as well as the alternator, starter, brake pads, water pump, and hatch lifts (all of these products have lifetime warranty). I also replaced the pop-top tent with a Go Westy 3 window model and all of the coolant hoses. I installed several safety and convenience features throughout the van, including LED lighting and a 150W power inverter (with the outputs in the rear cubby), which is perfect for charging laptops, cameras etc. The camper includes two beds (one below when the rear seat is folded flat and one above when the top is lifted open), two-burner stove, a sink, and fridge. Includes 5 mag wheels. In great condition and has a clean title and manual transmission. Included is the official VW Vanagon maintenance manual and a 200W audio amplifier under the rear seat with Sony stereo with USB input. I will include any extra parts that I can find, such as a box of 9 Mann oil filters.
