DESCRIPTION
1969 was the last year that Pontiac put the Ventura badge on the big Catalina body. So few were done that alledgedly, even GM does not know how many were produced. It was positioned to be a lighter, two toned, white over blue, go fast family sedan powered by the 400CI engine rated at 325HP. This car runs circles around my 1965 T-Bird with the 390 4-Barrel rated at 300HP. Not just because of the HP difference but the Ventura is close to 1000 lbs lighter than the Bird. Rice rockets: BEWARE! Now the good news and full disclosure stuff. Original owners were my inlaws. They were the sole drivers. Car has apx. 150,000 original miles. Motor was rebuilt at apx. 120,000 miles not because it needed it but they drove to Cleveland to visit their son and because they felt it needed a slight tune up, let him work on it. Being a master mechanic for Continental Airlines ground equipment, his idea of a \"tune-up\" was to just redo it for \"fun\". Easiest starting engine I have ever encountered. Runs and shifts like new. Interior vineyl is in great shape. Door panels also. Two front door armrests need to be redone. Dash is UNcracked and NOT dried out. Everything works but for the charging of the AC. I was going to do the minor body work myself but after three back operations, and a leg operation that is out of the question. I had taken the rear window out to seal the lower corners when, unknown to me, it rained. Carpet and headliner will need to be replaced. Other minor work are the relatively small spots behind the wheels. It has a lifetime quaranteed replacement gas tank from Ohio. (I think) Given the right offer I would not hesitate to drive from here to anywhere East of the Mississppi for delivery. Hope the pictures download works.
