This 1957 Chevrolet 150 Wagon is quite a uniquely restored machine. It takes the iconic style we love and gives us a glimpse at what a Black Widow grocery-getter would look like. And true to the special car's form, it has a sleekly dark style and a powerful small block under the hood. But this one also likes to give you modern upgrades in the right places, including air conditioning.

The quality of work that went onto this car is as clear as black and white. In fact, you can see the level of investment every time the sunlight hits the high-gloss two-tone. It's particularly special to get this right because those who know performance history also know the significance of the black and white cars dressed for basic utility. A select few 1957 Chevrolets were optioned to be the light and powerful "Black Widows" of the boulevard. This cool history is also why this one has all the 150-model specific elements, including the white steelies with half wheel-covers and the sash molding that were made famous by the upper-level trims in previous years. The Black Widows were all utility sedans, but this one takes that spirit and imagines it on a two-door wagon. It's hard not to be impressed with this car. After all, it has a similar spirit to the Bel Air Nomads. This example received a comprehensive restoration just over 2,000 miles ago. So the body panels look great, and the high-contrast of the two-tone is united in the glossy presentation they share. Plus, the Chevy 150 shares all the iconic '57 Chevy elements we all love. The sharp tailfins, dual power dome hood, and a wide grille that looks like a big chrome smile - it all makes sure that everyone remembers this Black Widow wagon.

The 150 line had one of the coolest interior patterns around. The comfy textured inserts on the seats and the matching side panels were as wild as some of the custom creations that would come out decades later. So the restored interior will attract a wide range of people. That's why it's nice that this tribute car has a back seat to share with more family and friends. In fact, this one has well-integrated upgrades to keep everyone a bit happier when you're out driving. There's a knob-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette, tinted windows, and cold-blowing air conditioning. The driver gets the best of it all with the auxiliary gauge trio joining vintage elements like the dual-spoke steering wheel. And of course, the rear hatch is there for everything from a great tailgating classic to a nice place to display your upcoming awards.

Under the hood is where this makes sure to earn its Black Widow style. The original was all about offering a hot small block, and so this one brings that into a more modern era with a ZZ4 crate motor. This 350 cubic-inch powerhouse includes a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Winters-style aluminum intake, and headers feeding a glasspack-style dual exhaust. This is said to be a power package producing 350+ horsepower! And while this has a classic style, it's built to be a better driver than the original. That's why you have a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and wide Cooper Cobra tires.

1957 was an iconic year. Chevrolet made nearly double the amount of Bel Air wagons and over three times as many Bel Air convertibles compared to 150 two-door wagons like this. So not only do you have a unique Black Widow tribute, but also there is a true rarity here that always makes it attractive. So don't miss out on true classic car distinction. Call today!!!
