DESCRIPTION

This 1947 Ford Panel Delivery combines a rare style, a nice V8 upgrade, and an A/C interior - all in an extremely versatile package. It's the kind of classic that you're going to enjoy showing off what it represents and all the things it can do.

We were still fresh out of the war in '47, and trucks had just resumed production. But since not many people could get the redesigned 1942 pickup before the war, and the F-Series would debut in 1948, this one represents a rarely-seen face in the Ford family. It even shows off the right post-war spirit with the return to brightwork on the grille and accenting the hood. But there's more going on here than just vintage appeal. This large panel van is finished in a bold and bright orange. So while this has fun moonshine graphics on the side, it has the kind of radiance that will never go incognito.

The black interior looks clean and classic. But while this was born in utilitarian times, the interior does not reflect that today. You've been upgraded to a set of modern bucket seats with terrific bolstering. And cold-blowing air conditioning is always appealing. It's even easy to get comfortable behind the wheel with a tilt steering column and crisp VDO gauges. It all makes for a great vintage vehicle that's easy to enjoy. But the full appeal of a panel van is all that space behind the seats. The rear double doors swing wide, and so you can fit just about anything you need in the open cargo area. So this one could be adapted for everything from business needs to carrying your motorcycle. And we bet you're just thinking about all the tailgating potential.

The engine bay has been upgraded to a 350 cubic-inch V8. It inhales deeper with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power as shorty headers feed the dual exhaust. There's even an upgraded aluminum radiator with a large electric fan to help keep the full package running cool. This was built to be a good all-around driver, and so you have a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and front discs.

You'll love this panel delivery for everything from its historic significance to its everyday usability. So we know you already have plenty of plans for this Ford, and that's why you can't let it slip away. Call today!!!
