A canvas for your creative input. Imagine taking that clean, sanitary interior and going all RemVant. Her stock, original-paint exterior with just a few blemishes’ ear one towards a true Van’cent VanGogh. And at just 138,000 original miles, she’s lived long and prospered, a frame ready Express Vanism or even way back artistically to ManVanerism? Oh, but just be creative, for it’s just all Van’aissance moment, really.
Just plain factory stock but for those sweet, era correct Keystones, scratches and ‘couple of dents showing her union history. She’s a working girl ready for the road. Low miles, and yep, one Owner, her originality is unmistakable. An art platform ready for input. She comes with a clean, clear Oregon title in the Original Owner's name.
Dark Blue Irid, she shows her years, but hey, it is indeed the original paint. There are lotsa’ scratches and a few dings, a major dent at the rear driver’s corner and so much character, Harry Potter could drive employ in an American sequel. Two challenges – rust is just a given on these ol’ original girls, but thankfully we are limited to the very lower corner of each front fender and a discovered bubble or three at the driver’s door, back corner. Nick at the right front keeps us from having a perfect grill – actually, a tap at the nose also graces her steel-ness as well. Factory working-folk rims come with the rig, but era proper Keystones start her transformation. All glass is reported a good.
Not much one can say, it’s kinda’ very blue. Blue dash is perfect with no cracks or flaws. Simple instrument cluster shows nice and proper. Her gas gauge is questionable, all others function proper. Note the radio delete. No accessories but for power disc brakes, which work just grand. Aft, she is just clean, blue, and ready for the creative you…
Powered by longevity, truly one of Chevy’s finest motors, her 6 cyl 250 cid in-line straight runs superb. Not nastily choked like the cars of her day, trucks had not yet become subject to government smog restrictions. And staying simple, the power is transferred to her stock running gear through a manual three-on-the-tree transmission. Braking was improved in this generation of G-series with power assistance and front disc brakes. She just loves stretching her legs at 55-60 m.p.h. and the Dealer states she just transports with ease.
She did not undergo Clasiq’s third party mechanical and cosmetic inspection; however, our Dealer did indeed give her a thorough review and some drive time before releasing her from indenture. An evaluation report has been submitted to Clasiq and respectfully issued, as they are auto enthusiasts, not mechanics. Most notably is the condition of the exterior. As stated, there are just a few rust items, but realistically, very manageable for refurbishment or resto-modification. A canvas, shall we continue to say.
Van for All, Crawlin’Condo, VanCarGo, or, lordy, Shaggin’Wagon, she’s yours to create. It’s all about history, foundation, simplicity, and a clean slate. Start with really fine mechanicals, she ready to become a creation. And these G-series vans from the 70’s are representing the next era of value, just like station wagons and Suburban’s. An investment in the future, creative for the present.
