It's a perfect ride for commercial or personal vending with total style and unlike anybody else! This genuine 3100 1/2 -ton Canopy Express (VIN code P and Canopy Express body code 3107) was originally made in General Motors' Norwood, Ohio factory (VIN code 9) in April 1950 (VIN code D). It was fully restored and modified professionally before the previous owner bought the truck in 2012. In 2008 started a no expense spared, resto-mod restoration which is fully documented by a detailed restoration book and receipts totaling over $25,700+! The restored styling cues include a rear lower tailgate, a chrome front bumper, dual sideview mirrors, a roof visor, rear taillights from a 1950 Pontiac and dual exhaust outlets. In back, the cargo bed is lined with tan carpeting and features a partition with a window. This Express rolls on Mastercraft Courser HTR radials, size 235/65R17 in front and 265/70R17 in back. Each tire is mounted on a chrome Torque Thrust wheel. The wheels and tires are all in very good shape. Under the hood is a 350 CID V-8 that has been modified to a stroker 383 CID with a Holley air cleaner, a Tuff Stuff alternator, an Edelbrock carburetor and valve covers. The motor breathes via custom dual exhaust. Backing this motor is a Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission and a rear axle from a 87 Buick Regal. The front end is Heidt's Ford Mustang II and Borgeson u-joints on the drive shaft. Driver convenience features include vintage air-conditioning with r134a refrigerant and a Flaming River Tilt Column. Inside, the cabin offers tan, power-adjustable bucket seats upholstered in leather with matching door panels and carpeting. There's a Flaming River steering column with a four-spoke, leather-wrapped LeCarra steering wheel and a Lokar floor shifter. The body-colored steel dashboard houses a full array of Dolphin gauges, a chrome-and-silver slotted panel with aftermarket speakers and a pull-out ashtray above climate controls and a JVC AM/FM stereo with CD.
