V8 power, ratty on the outside, comfy on the inside, she’s meant to be driven. A long way from perfection, yet just a ball to drive, this post-war ride is just begging to be seen ready to make the driver just smile.

12 years under our current Owner’s proxy, improvements have been made, interior perfected and many events attended. Not much is known about her past, but now she’s a driver focused on the roads ahead. Hit the gas while you hit the road, you’re not going to spend a lota’ time polishing this flat-black suicide sedan, but you will raise eyebrows with that absolutely rumbling V8. She’s located in Roseville, California and comes with a clean and clear title in our Owner’s name.

Pretty simple, more rat-rod than restored, her body is, well, errr, a bit old yet classic. Many chrome items have been removed including bumpers and some trim. Grill is blacked out to match the body. Glass is reported as in good condition. And that modern flavor is finished with old-school Cragers.

It’s her interior that makes this ride and here’s where the magic has been performed. White vinyl was all refreshed and restored in 2016 and she’s just stunning. All window operations perform grand. She has been converted to 12 volts and all gauges, but for fuel, work correct. Wipers are now electric and a bit finicky. GM tilt steering has been installed. Very cool is the original and decent headliner.

Next round of coolness is the installation of a small block 350 cid V8 crate motor. Her cam has been modified to give a great lope-sound. Edelbrock intake and carb, HEI and new radiator bring the sweet power plant to dependable performance. Backing the motor is a TH350 3-spd automatic with 2500 stall and B&M shifting. Power finishes with a GM Corp 10 bolt rear end. A GM subframe was added to the front to modernize her handling.

A thorough and exhaustive review of this old girl was performed by a third party inspector, and he was a bit tough on her. Rust and bondo were detected on her body, guess that’s why she’s a bit ratted. Noted were wipers not working and fuel gauge. Oil leak at the pan, too, was noted.

Really, just a great driver is what we have here & ready to roll, she indeed is. V8 performance, fun shifting auto and grand road performance prevail. She’s a cruiser ready to run. Take her to the next level or just enjoy, she’s a post-war relic that will ride the asphalt for another generation.
