This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has big block power, four-on-the-floor, and an SS-style attitude that includes both the appearance and the suspension. It all means that the iconic muscle car style you love has been built to be enjoyed like a true muscle car that this is.
Mulsanne Blue is a cool color that was shared with Corvettes and Camaros, and so it's great to have the factory-correct paint here. The finish has a nice gloss that looks good in the sunshine, but it's nothing too fancy that will make you nervous about driving this one... and as you dig into the details, you'll really see that this is made to be a driver's classic. After all, it's a big power machine with an upgraded Super Sporty style appearance. So it has aggressive details, like the cowl hood, hood pins, SS badging, and wide dual exhaust tips. And we like the way the blackout grille goes with the black racing stripes. This was the final year for this iconic design, and the rear bumper would never hug the form this well again. So it's great to see it so bright and shining. And the upgraded Cragar SS wheels add some shine and sportiness to this attractive total package.
The black interior not only coordinates with the exterior stripes, but also there's just something extra aggressive about a full blackout package. Plus, with the deep black on the upholstery, door panels, carpeting, headliner, and more, it shows there was a solid investment here later in life. There's even an upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo with 6x9 speakers in the rear panel. This is a driver-oriented setup with bucket seats and center console in-between. There's a grippy NK4 steering wheel, full round gauge package, and upgraded readouts under the dash. And we always love it when there's a big tach to go with a Hurst shifter.
We love a classic Chevelle that has its engine bay filled with big block power. It's a 454 cubic-inch crate motor, and this fresher powerhouse keeps a tidy presentation. It inhales deeply with a double-pumper four-barrel carburetor and a Holley intake. It exhales with added power and authority as headers feed the dual exhaust with a great big block sound. The Muncie four-speed manual transmission gives you firm control over this big muscle and its rumble. And this feeds a strong 12-bolt rear end. While you're looking back there, take note of the SS-style boxer rear arms and sway bar. This muscle car also has great anytime driving features, power steering, wide Firehawk Indy 500 tires, and power brakes w/discs up front.
This is the big-block stick-shift Chevelle you've always wanted. So don't let this coupe slip away, call today!
