Powering the vehicle is a 350 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a smooth shifting th350 automatic transmission. This example is an all steel body with fiberglass fenders. Standard features include front disc brakes, functional heat, A/C and more. Other features include a Mustang II front end and a folder with various documents and receipts. This example was professionally built in 1999. From there it was enjoyed by the builder until he sold it to the current owner in 2006. Since then it has been lovingly cared over past 14 years and has just now come to market. So, if you have been looking for one cool cruiser, this Streetrod is for you. Please call or email us today for more information.
Hot rods are typically old, classic or modern American cars with large engines modified for faster speed. The origin of the term "hot rod" is unclear. For example, some claim that the term "hot" refers to the vehicle being stolen. Other origin stories include replacing the engine's camshaft or "rod" with a higher performance version. Hot rods were favorites for greasers.
