A Ford using Cadillac power??? This 1946 Ford Deluxe Convertible was restored to be shiny and neat, but the most fun part is under the hood. The large Caddy V8 makes this one more fun to drive and a terrific reason to lift the hood at car shows.
The Emerald Green Metallic gives this car the right first impression. It\'s an interesting color with a nice balance of modern shine, vintage feel, and plenty of sophistication. The paint has a good luster that loves to show off the curvaceous classic body. There are good details including the like-new tan convertible top, clean door jambs, and full-length trim that shows off the good panel fit across the car. And since this is a convertible, the mirror-like chrome bumpers, grille, and bezels love the sunshine. And a great finishing touch is the wheel package. The red steelies go with the hint of red in the grille, and the two-piece trim shines as brilliant as the rest of the brightwork. Plus, there\'s a new set of classic whitewalls for a true vintage cruiser look.
The interior continues the cool vintage look. This has a classic style with two rows of bench seats, but the presentation is quite fresh. The carpeting and door panels are done in coordinating red and beige for a uniform style. And the exterior green returns on the door tops and dash. This was built to be a cruiser, and so it was recently updated to a 12-volt system. So some of the vintage items are now more for display, but it also means it\'s easier for you to add the modern driver additions you want.
When you lift the hood, the copper-colored valve covers and air grabber are a nice tribute to Ford\'s flathead V8 style, but the Cadillac name on those valve covers also makes sure no one mistakes this for stock. This is a 365 cubic-inch V8 borrowed from a 1957 Caddy. And if it can swiftly power those big tailfin cars, then you know it can move this Ford with authority, too. There\'s even an upgraded aluminum radiator with an electric fan to help keep everything running cool. They even added the Cadillac\'s Powerglide automatic transmission so that you can have a vintage feel while still being a better cruiser.
This Ford drop-top was already an icon, but the upgraded V8 makes this legend a truly unique presence wherever it goes. That makes for an irresistible custom classic. Call today!!!
