800 Derita Road, Ste. A
This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a real-deal R-code Cobra Jet coupe. It's a big block 428 machine that also has the best colors and features. So it makes for a well-documented total package that's vintage, fun, and absolutely powerful.
Grabber Orange is a legendary color in Mustang circles. It's a glowing upgrade over the factory green. This was done around 2013, and so you have the ideal mix of a vibrant presence and the right kind of aged-in style that will make plenty of people presume it's factory. And the bright color also makes for a great way to showcase all the dark and speedy features that come on this Mach 1. It starts up front with the hood scoop, chin spoiler, and bold black stripe package with callouts built right in. It continues the length of the car with the black lower body moldings with correct Mach 1 badging. Plus, the back has a louvered rear window, blackout rear panel, and big spoiler. The whole package is a detail-oriented performance pony look, right down to the hood locks and correct-style Mach 1 sports wheel covers.
The ginger interior is great for a car of distinction like this. The brighter color makes it easier to see the details, and this one has a lot of vintage distinction. The seats, carpet, headliner, and dash look great, and this is said to be a highly original setup. We have the dealer invoice showing some great classic features. This includes the fold-down rear seat and the optional AM radio with working 8-Track (you even get a few cartridges to put in it!) And this is a driver's sports car with high-back front bucket seats, an armrest center console, grippy rim-blow steering wheel, console auxiliary readouts, and a full gauge package with large speedo and tach.
The engine bay was done with care because they knew you were going to show this one off with pride. The ultra-tidy look lets you clearly see the bright blue block, ribbed valve covers, and the shaker hood scoop that announces there's serious power within. This is a real-deal R-code Cobra Jet coupe. The motor is not the number-matching unit, but it is a proper 428 cubic-inch big block V8 with a four-barrel carb on top. It is presented with a clean style and all the right detail - right down to the decals. So it looks stock and clean. It tells you there has been a proper level of investment here, and the way this one runs strong reaffirms it. And this muscle Mustang is also quite easy to enjoy at cruising speeds thanks to the power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, power brakes w/discs up front, and wide BF Goodrich T/As.
The sale comes complete with valuable paperwork, like the dealer invoice and factory buildsheet. An R-code Mach 1 like this has an awesome presence and the big V8 to back it up. So you know this is one classic you don't want to let get away. Call now!
