Sometimes the subtle customizations make all the difference. You can instantly tell there's something special about this 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle. The custom touches to the interior and exterior mean this people's classic makes a very individual arrival.
This car was restored around five years ago, and they made sure to do it for both quality and distinction. You see this in the way the panels align so well and the excellent rubber body gaskets. Bright chrome bumpers, clean glass, and complete trim are all part of the great classic look. The paint seems to hold close to Sapphire Blue, which appears to be an exclusive color to 1971 VWs. This is a modern application with a deep luster and a nice shine to live up to its sapphire name. And the precious gem name goes perfectly with the precious metal accenting provided by the full gold pinstriping and gold EMPI wheels. The result is an attractively restored Beetle that respects its history while also always being unique.
The interior was also a nice beneficiary of the restoration budget. The tan used for the upholstery and side panels have a thoughtfully coordinating tone with the exterior gold accents. And the coco mats are a premium and harmonizing touch. There are other well-integrated upgrades, like the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with aux input and upgraded stereo speakers. But also nothing gets in the way of the classic VW feel - right down to the dual-spoke steering wheel with Wolfsburg crest at the center.
In the back is an era-correct 1600 cc air-cooled flat-four engine. VW fans know that means you are in the era of the desirable dual relief engine case. But this one has much more going on. It shows the right signs of a quality rebuilt, and the consignor also states that there recent work, including a valve adjustment, new fuel filter, and new spark plugs. It's a level of investment that keeps this a car that fires up and runs with confidence. Plus, with the control of a four-speed manual transmission, the Super Beetle's updated front suspension, and that hypnotic air-cooled hum, you know this one is a great way to enjoy the drive.
This is the restored VW that's made to be a memorable, fun, and thoughtful classic. So if you're looking for a Bug of distinction, call today!
