This 1961 Volkswagen Beetle has one of the coolest and well-coordinated two-tone styles around. It's all part of a highly authentic vintage style wrapped in a classic that was also meant for driving.

The front fenders w/vents, big back window, small taillights, and "W" decklid are all part of the more vintage elements that help define the '61 Bug. It's these early details that keep them in demand. But that's not why you took a look at this one, is it? It's the distinct paint that caught your eye. The Champagne Metallic paint has a golden glow that highlights the VW's unique curves and how well the panels continue to fit today. And the white lower section just adds to the vintage style as it coordinates with the wide whitewall tires. Even the wheels were done in a matching two-tone. It has a nice overall look that has a radiant personality without taking away from the understanding that a proper Beetle should be a ready and carefree driver-quality car. And these earlier Bugs are also for brightwork lovers with the full-length trim, correct/classic wheel covers, fender guards, dual exhaust tips, and bumpers with override bows.

They made the right investment inside to make sure it's tasteful, vintage, and has just the right upgrades. The creamy white of the exterior returns on the metal pieces, and that harmonizes with the shades of tan on the upholstery, door panels, carpeting, and headliner. It has all the right classic details, like the VDO speedometer and the dual-spoke steering wheel with Wolfsburg crest in the center. But there are also some nice additions. For example, the classic seating is now finished in a comfy tweed. And while the correct AM radio is still there for display, your real driving music comes from an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo hidden in the glovebox.

The engine bay is a clean marvel of simplicity - just what these Beetles should be. The tidy 1200cc horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine is topped by the correct one-barrel carburetor. It fires up easily with a magical buzz that only an air-cooled motor can. These are far from the most powerful motors out there, but it's the engineering that makes the VW legendary. The rear-mounted motor gives the car good traction and doesn't have the power loss associated with a large driveshaft. The four-cylinder is built to be stout and run all day without overheating thanks to air cooling. Also, you get to make the most out of this motor with the control of the four-speed manual transmission. The result is a nippy little car. But let's face it, when it looks this good, you want to be going slow enough so everyone gets a good stare at this bug.

This is your golden opportunity at a golden-glow Beetle. Call today!!!
