The GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this head turning 1939 Dodge D11 Luxury Liner Hot Rod! This killer cruiser comes in a brilliant silver paint job complemented by a clean maroon interior. Powering the Dodge is a stout 350 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. Standard features of the vehicle include power steering, power front disc brakes, functional heat, A/C and much more. This vehicle was professionally built in 2013 for the Mecum auction of that year. It was then sold to it current owner who has lovingly cared for it over the past 7 years. Additionally, the vehicle comes with a binder full of documentation for the build. So, if you're in the market for one rare hot rod sure to be the center of attention at your local car show, this Dodge is for you. Please call or email us today for more information.
To fit better in the Chrysler Corporation lineup, alongside low-priced Plymouth and medium-priced DeSoto, Dodge's lineup for early 1930 was trimmed down to a core group of two lines and thirteen models (from three lines and nineteen models just over a year previous). Prices started out just above DeSoto but were somewhat less than top-of-the-line Chrysler, in a small-scale recreation of General Motors' "step-up" marketing concept. The Dodge line, along with most of the corporation's output, was restyled in the so-called "Wind Stream" look for 1935. This was a mild form of streamlining, which saw sales jump remarkably over the previous year. Another major restyle arrived for the 25th-anniversary 1939 models, which Dodge dubbed the Luxury Liner series.
