You\'d have a hard time finding a truck from any era that effectively combines the sensibilities of this 1970 GMC 1500 Patina Restomod. The natural patina derived from years of service is proudly displayed over its exterior, serving notice that this venerable pickup has seen a lot in its considerable lifetime and is all the better for it. By contrast, an aggressive lowered stance and a set of attention-grabbing 20\" KMC wheels add a definite aftermarket sensibility. Add to that a frame that\'s been properly prepped for a premium aftermarket suspension, with the dual air compressors already in place, and you have one seriously distinctive ride, a ride you\'re unlikely to come across anytime soon on the road.
The interior has been largely left in its native configuration, with some aftermarket touches blended into the mix, including an upgraded, split-bench seat that provides plenty of comfort for even the longest of road trips, a sharp-looking Grant steering wheel now in place on a tilting column, and a set of aftermarket gauges in the instrument cluster to keep tabs on motoring functions. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo sits at the center of the dash but will need a little attention to get back online. Just below, a display is mounted securely in place to control an Air Ride suspension.
Climb inside, settle onto the bench seat, and you\'ll have plenty of power at your disposal, courtesy of the 383-cubic-inch stroker V8 that sits inside the engine compartment. Equipped with a Holley Sniper fuel injection system that offers a level of adjustability and all-weather dependability unattainable in its original configuration, the engine is in top form, pulling with enough strength to knock you back in your seat as it pairs with an automatic three-speed TH350 transmission that shifts seamlessly. An added set of shorty headers minimizes performance-robbing backpressure, while a dual exhaust that terminates in a pair of Flowmaster mufflers provides just the right note as you tap on the gas pedal. This 1500 is also equipped with power steering and power brakes that feature discs in front, so it handles easily and comes to a stop with no fanfare.
