DESCRIPTION

Affordable, sporty, and a heck of a lot of fun - this 1977 MG Midget is a sunny day\'s best friend. So it\'s ready to go on a whim and will keep you grinning from ear-to-ear on every back road.

The Midget was built to be fun with no fluff added in - qualities that still have a lot of appeal in modern times. So you get the classic attractiveness of a long hood and short rear deck that\'s built with a true purpose to enjoy the road. And the luggage rack looks ready for a wicker picnic basket. And a well-coordinated Midget like this has a very cool attractiveness that cannot be denied. The red paint is an updated color that looks good on a runabout. Plus, the black bumpers are part of a total package that goes with the black rocker panels and Rostyle wheels. This even makes the black folding roof look great when it\'s in place.

For a car named Midget, there is a surprising amount of room inside. Decent legroom, full carpeting, and individual bucket seats are the key to this car\'s comfort. Plus, features like the heater and wiring for a modern stereo (the current unit may need upgrading) are nice features for those who like driving their classics. And there\'s an overall attractiveness because this has all the best elements of a British sports car. The steering wheel has a nice grip, the gearshift feels like an extension of your arm, and the full Smiths gauge package instantly connects this to other British greats like Aston Martin. It\'s a true driver\'s machine.

These final generation Midgets received the largest motor ever available to these sprightly MGs. The 1493 cc inline-four under the hood produced more torque than the earlier 1275 cc unit, which now made it better suited to American tastes. Add this to better gearing, and this was an improved lightweight car with an entertaining performance. This motor was even given a new Weber carburetor within about the last year, and so it has the right feeling for a strong powerhouse that suggests this Midget is mightier than its size. That\'s part of the car\'s true charm. The setup is specifically built for you to take advantage of the fully-synchronized four-speed gearbox and get the most out of this motor. Plus, with a newer brake master cylinder, front disc brakes, nimble steering, and a newer clutch master cylinder, it feels ready for the road.

Complete with service manuals, this Midget is an awesome entry-level roadster whose size is inversely related to the amount of fun it offers. Call today!!!
