I JUST (02/03/20) IN TALKING WITH THE PREVIOUS OWNER (hes 93 yrs. old & is a talented car builder & has been since he was a kid & he is still building classics/hot rods/street rods etc.)...SOLD. SOLD. SOLD. SOLD. THAT I BOUGHT THIS UNDRILLED BODY FROM 24yrs. AGO I FOUND OUT THAT THIS WAS A TRUE GM 53 BODY ORDERED FROM A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN KANSAS. I am presently trying to learn more details and I will try to follow a paper trail through GM on the validity of this story. This is an older complete fiberglass 1953 to 1955 Corvette body supposedly Ordered through a Kansas Chevrolet dealership as a replacement body for a gentlemans 1953 Chevrolet Corvette...(probably in the early to mid 1950s). It Is a complete & undrilled unit with removable doors, hood, decklid, soft top storage compartment cover, and dash face (one piece from door to door). The floor pan is molded in with the rest of the body is a one piece body with the above mentioned removable parts. The body and parts are made of very thick fiberglass and are not flimsy. This is a complete undrilled fiberglass body w/the above mentioned parts only-- no accessories--- no hinges--no frame. I dont know the manufactures name of the body as I cannot find it anywhere on the body, but I have not looked on the underside for a label or stamp from the manufacture. For all I know this could be a General Motors replacement body or a prototype body that was sold to a Corvette owner as a replacement body for his/her Wrecked 53-55 Vette !!
