AACA Senior 1st prize national award winner in 2006. This gorgeous Mustang has very desirable features including air conditioning. It underwent an extensive restoration with amazing before and after photo documentation. It went on to win dozens of awards, some taller then the car.
EXTERIOR: This is a gorgeous Mustang with gleaming red paint and sparkling chrome. Dressed up with GT wheels, exhaust tips and stripes. Has photo documentation of the complete body restoration. It is all metal, it is straight and fits very well. Paint is glossy. The jambs are painted slick and detailed. Weatherstrips, sill plates, hardware were redone. The chrome and stainless has all been replaced or restored. Moldings around the windshield and rain gutters are bright. New windshield.
INTERIOR: It's also sparkling inside. The interior lights work. I'm looking at the dash and everything is shiny. All the chrome, bezels and knobs look pristine. The metal is painted red. Features include a new deluxe steering wheel with the Rally Pack gauges. The radio looks original but updated as an Am-Fm. Also has factory air conditioning and a rare bench seat. Has fold down center armrest and seat belts. Everything has been restored or replaced from carpet to headliner. Has reproduction floormats and owner's manual.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Show quality motor compartment. Everything is clean. Metal is smooth and painted. 289 V8 runs smooth. Has the correct Ford hoses and clamps, correct spark plug wires, original intake and exhaust manifolds. The correct air cleaner with the heat riser tube is restored. It features factory air conditioning and power brakes. The radiator has an additional electric fan to keep it cool. Alternator looks new, washer squirters are hooked up to the original bag. Has original style canister fuel pump.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All painted red, it has a plaid mat with insulation underneath. The spare is a matching new chrome GT wheel and tire. A red car cover is included. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are glossy, new weatherstrip. Latches, wiring, tail light bezels are all new looking.
UNDERSIDE: The metal has been all restored, no rust. The components are all restored or replaced. Up front the steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. Bottom of the motor is clean. The C-4 automatic trans was rebuilt. Rear end was restored. Brake system was redone. Fuel tank and system was replaced. Has dual exhaust. It was detailed in the correct factory finishes. Has red oxide floors, stripes on the driveshaft, detailed suspension.
This Mustang has had a very extensive restoration with documentation to prove it. A national 1st prize validates it. It is no longer perfect but it man does not look great. Colors and features make it even that much better!
