DESCRIPTION

While every generation of GM\'s halo car has a strong argument for which one is best, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible makes a strong case for the C2. Fully repainted in its original Sebring Silver, this first-year second-gen car showcases the introduction of a (then) advanced new suspension and wind-influenced aerodynamics, resulting in its sleek yet aggressive body lines.

Inside, we find an attractive stock-style dark blue vinyl interior. A center console separates a pair of bucket seats, while a three-spoke, wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a six-pod gauge cluster featuring a big 7,000 rpm tachometer and 160 mph speedometer. The center stack is highlighted by a large analog clock, accompanied by simple pull-and-twist HVAC controls and a vertical AM/FM stereo, maximizing the remaining space.

Under the signature front-hinged hood, we find a clean engine bay featuring a 350 cubic-inch overhead valve V-8 engine. A single four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor sits atop a matching Edelbrock intake manifold, while stock-style exhaust manifolds feed into a true dual exhaust that exits through the rear valance. That power is routed through a tried-and-true Borg Warner T10 four-speed manual transmission before being sent out to the rear wheels, where fifteen-inch Rallye wheels with center caps and beauty rings are shod in 205/75R-15 Redline rubber.

For the first time in Corvette history, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible rides on a fully independent suspension at both the front and rear. Drum brakes are employed at all four corners to scrub off speed whenever called upon. If you have not yet experienced the exhilaration of driving a droptop C2 down the open road, then this is your chance to find out why so many believe this iteration of the Corvette may just be the best one yet. Don\'t wait, call today!
