DESCRIPTION
For sale is a very rare all steel, all mopar 1931 Plymouth PA Thrift 2 door sedan. Only 4892 of this model in both 2-door and 4-door models combined were produced and there are only 20 plus that have shown up on internet searches world-wide, the majority of which are 4-door sedans.
The entire drive-line is Mopar and consists of a 408 Cu. In. stroker, balanced and blueprinted. Heads are ported and polished and the intake is a crosswind air-gap high rise cooled by a custom Griffin 4-core radiator and electric cooling fan. Short block ceramic coated headers dump into 2 3/4 “ pipes and the Magna Flow mufflers exit in front of the rear wheel wells. The transmission is a 727 Trick-Flow with 2800 stall and 2 separate transmission oil coolers, equal to an eight pass system, so it will never run hot. The rear end is a 8 3/4 inch Mopar Posi with 3.08 gears. Guiding all this is a Heidts Coil Over Mustang II dropped front end with rack & pinion steering and Wilwood 11” power disc brakes.
Paint is 2006 Dodge Durango Timberline Pearl sporting ghost flames on the front fenders and louvered hood. The interior consists of buckets up front and a custom rear bench, hinged to allow storage and access to the battery. The custom interior is enhanced by the Air Guide Classic instruments, Vintage Air AC/Heat system, Flaming River tilt column and Ididit steering wheel, stereo system, power front windows, fixed rear windows and electric windshield wipers.
