DESCRIPTION
This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible is one of the prettiest Tri-Five Chevys that we've ever seen. The Bel-Air was the top-of-the-line model for Chevrolet back in 1955, with upgraded interiors and the iconic gold trim. This particular example underwent an extensive frame-off restoration that is especially show-worthy. The 265 Cubic Inch 8 Cylinder engine under the hood is mated to a Powerglide Automatic Transmission, giving this Bel Air Convertible plenty of power and making it easy for anybody to drive. With its "Power Pack" setup, this '55 Chevy has a single 4 barrel carburetor and dual exhaust that created 180 horsepower back in 1955. This classic Chevrolet Bel-Air is also a particularly well-optioned example sporting Power Steering and Power Brakes, which cost $92 and $38, respectively, back in the mid-fifties. The white vinyl power convertible top is in excellent condition and it goes up and down with the simple pull or push of a button tucked away under the dash. The chrome and brightwork on this Bel Air Convertible is in excellent, show condition. The body fits on this particular example are also a major highlight. This '55 Bel Air sits on 4 wide whitewall Coker radial tires, which gives this car an excellent look and a very nice ride. This Chevy also sports a rear mounted continental kit that gives this convertible that classic 50s look. The exterior on this Bel-Air is in excellent condition, finished in beautiful Skyline Blue and India Ivory paint. The interior is also in great shape. The Turquoise and Ivory Vinyl bench seat interior is in like-new condition. The carpet and floor mats look great. The dash and instrumentation are stock and in excellent condition, appearing as they did when the car rolled off the factory floor back in 1955. The steering wheel is in very nice shape as well. Whether you're looking to add to your existing collection or you're looking for your first classic, this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible is an excellent choice. Give us a call today!
