DESCRIPTION

1970 Buick Skylark 2 door hardtop for sale.
Been in the family since new.
My Dad bought it new. When he passed away my son was in High School and learning to drive and it became his car.
The car has some damage…
When my Son was pulling into his garage after school one day some friends of his pulled into the drive on his right and he looked over at them and accidentally turned slightly left and hit the steel wagon wheel fence with the left front fender near the headlight… The fender was replaced…
About 6 months later he hit a deer on the highway and damaged the front end…. That damage has not been fixed…. The car was still drivable and about a month later he bought another newer car..
That was in 2001 and the car went into storage in the machine shed and has been there ever since…
20 years in storage now.
Was going to restore it someday but he’s not interested at this time and I am retired and don’t have the time to do it…
This car is all original except for a different radio and amplifier that my Son had put in. The dash was not cut up for this addition… the original radio is available and would slip right back in easily….
There is little if any rust….
The car has been shedded in a dry shed all of it’s life.
From new till my Dad retired in 1984 and moved to town, the car was shedded on a large Ranch my Dad ran about 40 miles out in the country from town…. 28 miles of that was dirt road, so the car has been driven on muddy roads and also has dry road gravel tracks on the lower body panels….
The car has not been started in about 10 years.
Since then it developed a oil leak just sitting there in the machine shed and leaked oil on the floor. It appears it is coming from around the pan gasket of the transmission but I have not been under it to know for sure but it appeared to be transmission fluid.
The original vinyl top is in excellent shape.
The interior is in practically new condition with the exception of the drivers seat back which has a couple of small slits, and the center arm rest console has a ding on the back left upper side.
The plastic gear shift knob deteriorated, crumbled, and fell off.
The original floor mats turned hard and brittle but are there and stored in the trunk.
The rubber around the doors and windows appear to be in excellent shape.
The car has 101,119.4 original miles…

This car would be an excellent candidate for an easy restoration back to original factory new condition.
Asking $10,000 …. but will entertain REASONABLE offers.
