1947 Bentley Mark VI Drophead Coupe by Park WardThis 1947 Bentley Mark VI Drophead Coup by Park Ward is an attractive, largely original example with plenty of potential. Red over black, it has been repainted and the interior has been reupholstered. The car runs and drives, though it would benefit from servicing and some minor cosmetic attention. Recently emerging from long-term ownership and storage, it presents an appealing opportunity for the enthusiast looking to bring a distinguished post-war Bentley back to its full potential.Introduced in May 1946, the Bentley Mark VI was Bentley\'s first entirely new post-war model. For customers seeking something more distinctive, Bentley continued to offer a bare chassis that could be sent to a specialist coachbuilder. One of the most prestigious firms to take advantage of this opportunity was Park Ward, the renowned London coachbuilder closely associated with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Its elegant Drophead Coup body transformed the Mark VI into a considerably more sporting and sophisticated automobile. Power comes from Bentley\'s smooth and torquey 41/4-liter inline-six, well suited to the Mark VI\'s role as a fast, refined, and exceptionally capable long-distance touring car. With its desirable Park Ward coachwork, this 1947 Bentley Mark VI Drophead Coup offers considerable potential and would make a rewarding addition to any collection.
