This 1957 Chevrolet 210 is a thoughtful build with a history of solid investments. It makes for an attractive classic style that also offers the right upgrades. With a great shade of red, a bucket seat interior, an upgraded five-speed, enhanced V8 power, and some Bel Air-style flair, you're looking at a sharp classic that's made to drive.
This loves to grab attention with its dark red paint. It's a bold color with an attitude, and a modern luster loves the sunlight. This was done in 2006 as part of a frame-off restoration. And while most classic cars would only get one big restoration investment, this has kicked off a pattern of good care and additions over the last few years. You'll especially see the difference as you dig into the details inside this car. But first, take some time to appreciate the style this one gives in its first impression. There are straight panels and good gaps that make for the right base to showcase the upgraded Bel Air full-length trim with a fan-style insert. Plus, the front end is another big part of this icon, so they made sure this chrome gives off a 10,000-watt smile. The gold anodized trim of this tri-five Chevy also looks great against the deep red. It makes for a nice vintage style, but this one also likes to announce its upgraded nature. The tinted windows, wide dual exhaust tips, and Rally wheels with large/wider rear tires give this classic Chevy even more cruiser flair.
Just like the exterior, the interior is tastefully upgraded, but it doesn't lose the vintage style. For example, the front bench has been replaced by dual bucket seats borrowed from a '65 Chevelle. But it's hard to recognize that because these were given quality Ciadella seat covers that have the '57 Bel Air coated cloth inserts and bright button-top seatbacks. This was part of a fresh investment in 2018 that also included matching door panels and new carpeting. Even the dash was restored to give you nice details like the working courtesy light and clock. There's an added center console from '63 Impala, an upgraded shifter, and a retro-style AM/FM stereo w/aux input and upgraded speakers. The artful steering wheel is another Impala upgrade that has the right flair to fit well in this '57. And now it's mounted on a tilt column so you can get the best view of the clear gauges.
The engine bay likes to impress, too. The smooth and dark inner walls funnel all your attention to the bright components in the middle. And it all looks so clean because this has only gone 1,200 miles since the rebuild was completed. It's a 305 cubic-inch V8 - larger than any small block available in '57. And it has more upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor with electric choke and an Edelbrock aluminum intake. You've also got good supporting components like a new aluminum radiator added in 2020, as well as an American Wire Kit and upgraded fuse box done in 2018. It's a strong powerhouse and you get to enjoy it to the fullest thanks to the upgraded five-speed manual transmission. Plus, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and newer BF Goodrich Radial tires are all part of a solid driving total package.
